Why you may not want to attend a Thermomix® TM7 demo
Yes, you can buy a Thermomix® without hosting or attending a demo (also called a Cooking Experience).
There are many reasons why you may not want to go along to a demo, and I completely understand. For example:
- you already own a previous model – the TM21, TM31, TM5 or TM6 – and know how to cook with a Thermomix® and what it can do for you. You just want the information to decide on whether or not to upgrade.
- you have seen or used a Thermomix® at a friend's place and are happy with what your friend has shown you.
- you would prefer to do your own research online. You are happy to watch some videos to understand how the Thermomix® works and what it can and can't do.
- you don't want a consultant nagging you for weeks to attend or host another demo, or to buy now.
How I can help you decide whether or not to buy a Thermomix® TM7
Helping you to make the right decision is important to me. I want you to have access to the information you need to decide if the Thermomix® TM7 is right for you, right now.
For that reason I am spending a lot of my time creating my blog and YouTube channel to fill with everything you need to know. I want this to be where you come to do your online research before making your decision.

How to buy a Thermomix® without a demo
In Australia, you can only buy a Thermomix® through a consultant and often after attending a demo. However, you do not have to attend a demo.
A consultant can provide you with their “buy link“. Clicking on that link takes you to the Thermomix Australia Mix Shop shopping cart. The Thermomix® TM7 will already be in the cart and your consultant will have been selected (that is the person who gave you the link). All you need to do is checkout.

If you buy your Thermomix® through a consultant, then you get their ongoing support. Of course, what this entails will vary from one consultant to the next, so I will share what I can offer.

Hi Jo. My name is Patricia. I am located in Canberra. I bought my termomix TM6 from an friend who moved to Canada. I know how amazing it. But, to be honest I have not use it at all. Too busy and to scare to damage it as I am so naive in the chicken. Can a get an advise on where I should start? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Patricia – thanks for much for getting in touch. I completely understand that the Thermomix can be overwhelming and you don’t know where to start. I definitely want to help you get the most out of it. Firstly – I recommend (if you haven’t already) that you sign up for the Cookidoo free trial. Then, have a look at the Cookidoo videos I have in my blog or see my YouTube playlist for getting started with Cookidoo. Have a look around Cookidoo and save recipes that appeal to you, and some of the simple ones I highlight in my videos. Follow a couple of the short recipes to get a feel for the Thermomix. I also have a video explaining Guided Cooking.
I have also created the ThermoJo 30 Day Kickstart. This was created for my customers who buy a Thermomix through me, but I am about to launch this as available to anyone who needs help with getting the most from their Thermomix. In this I have videos showing you every mode, function and feature of the TM6, along with lots on using Cookidoo well, and recipe recommendations. I am working to get this ready within the next week. Yes I am based in Australia so the purchase links are for Australian residents. To buy in the UK, go to https://www.vorwerk.co.uk/en/c/home/products/thermomix/thermomix-tm6.html to enquire about purchasing the TM6. It seems they may not sell online and you will need to make contact with a local consultant.
