New trade in offers when buying your new Thermomix® TM6
Today I have news about a new, and unusual trade up offer available for the Thermomix® TM6. This offer is for anyone who would love a Thermomix® TM6 on their bench.
As you may know, we are in a unique situation at the moment where you have the option to purchase either the Thermomix® TM6 or the Thermomix® TM7. This option ends on 2 June, or earlier if the TM6 sells out. This really is your last chance to get a Thermomix® TM6.
From today you may also be eligible for a discount through the new trade up offer. In addition, when you purchase the TM6 through this offer, you will receive all the essential accessories for free, valued at $921.
The key details are:
- Option 1: Trade in your Thermomix® (TM21, TM31, TM5 or TM6) and you will pay only $1899 for a brand new TM6. That is a discount of $680.
- Option 2: Trade in a major appliance (e.g. KitchenAid) and you will pay only $2199. That is a discount of $380.
- Option 3: Trade in a minor appliance (e.g. a stick blender) and you will pay $2479. That is a discount of $100.
- For each option you also receive the bundled accessories worth $921.
- For each option, you do need to send the traded Thermomix® or other appliance in to Thermomix®.
The bonus bundled accessories include a second bowl set, Thermomix® Cutter and Spiraliser, Blade Cover & Peeler, and a Glider Board. The total value of the bonus is $921.
To take up any of the trade in options, please get in touch so I can create the discounted order for you. For option 2 and 3, please let me know the appliance so I can confirm that it will be accepted.

How much is the discount with the trade in offer when purchasing a Thermomix® TM6?
The trade up offer details
The upgrade offer is available from 9am AWST Tuesday 6 May until 11.59pm AWST Monday 2 June 2025.
The new offer has three options.
- Option 1: Trade in your Thermomix® (TM21, TM31, TM5 or TM6) and you will pay only $1899 for a new TM6. That is a discount of $680.
- Option 2: Trade in a major appliance (e.g. a Mulit-Cooker or Kitchenaid) and you will pay only $2199. That is a discount of $380.
- Option 3: Trade in a minor appliance (e.g. a blender) and you will pay $2479. That is a discount of $100.
- For each option you also receive the bundled accessories worth over $1000.
- For each option, you do need to send the traded Thermomix® or other appliance in to Thermomix®.

What if my Thermomix® or appliance is damaged?
The offer is still available to you if your current Thermomix® or other appliance is damaged or has a fault.
When returning a Thermomix®, you only need to send back the machine plus the bowl, blade and lid set. If you have lost other accessories, that is ok. For other appliances, you need to send them to Thermomix® unless they include a lithium battery that cannot be removed.
How much will I get if I sell my Thermomix® privately?
Facebook Marketplace is the best place to look to see the current advertised value of earlier model Thermomix® and other appliances. Since the announcement of the Thermomix® TM7 in February, the second hand value of all second hand earlier models has fallen significantly.
The trade in discount provided with this deal represents a great opportunity to get a Thermomix® TM6 on your bench.
What payment options are available?
The payment options available when purchasing or trading up to the Thermomix® TM6 are:
- Credit or debit card: single payment
- PayPal: use for American Express cards, other payment options. PayPal Pay in 4 may be available for purchases under $2000.
- AfterPay: 4 payments
- Humm Finance: 5% deposit and then payments over three or 24 months.
- ZipMoney: 24 months interest free.
What appliances are accepted as a trade in for the Thermomix® TM6?
The trade in offer provides two options for trading in appliances that you own. These are appliances that your new Thermomix® TM6 will replace, based on the core functions of the Thermomix®.
Trade in your major appliance
The major appliances that will be accepted must have a recommended retail price over $380, and be one of the following brands:
- KitchenAid
- Vitamix
- Breville
- Magimix
- Kenwood
- Tefal
- Froothie
- Sunbeam
- Smeg
- Ninja
If you meet this criteria you will then be entitled to a trade in value of $380 when you send this appliance to Thermomix®. The appliance does not need to be in working order.
Trade in your minor appliance
The minor appliances that will be accepted can be any brand, with a minimum recommended retail price of $100. They must be one of the following appliance types:
- Rice cooker
- Kitchen scales
- Blender
- Kettle
- Steamer
- Stick blender
- Hand mixer
- Slow cooker/Multi-cooker
- Yoghurt maker
- Stand mixer
- Spice grinder/Coffee grinder
- Mincer
- Food processor
- Food chopper
If you meet this criteria you will then be entitled to a trade in value of $100 when you send this appliance to Thermomix®. The appliance does not need to be in working order.
Do I have to return my old Thermomix® or appliance when trading in for the Thermomix® TM6?
Yes, you will need to return your Thermomix®, or other appliance, to Thermomix®.
The process to purchase
- Complete the form at the bottom of this page. This will send me your details so I can create an order for you that includes the discount and the free gifts.
- You will receive an email with an invoice detailing the items, and a link to pay.
- Click on the link provided in the email and you will be taken to the Thermomix® website shopping cart. The discounted Thermomix® TM6 and free gifts will already be in the cart. I will be showing as your consultant.
- Complete the check out process. The total amount due for the Thermomix® TM6 and free gifts will vary depending on the trade in option you have chosen.
The next steps
- Once you have paid for the new TM6, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for returning your trade in Thermomix® or other appliance.
- The cost of returning the item is paid by Thermomix®, not you. You do need to provide the packaging.
How long until my new Thermomix® TM6 arrives?
Once you have lodged your trade in item with Australia Post, Thermomix® will be notified that your trade in item is on the way. Once the package is received at Thermomix®, it will be checked to ensure that the appliance quoted in your trade up offer matches what is in the box.
Your TM6 will be dispatched within 48 hours from that time. You will receive a dispatch notification with tracking details. Once your Thermomix® is dispatched, it will normally take 7-10 days to be delivered to you.
What if I want to keep my old Thermomix® when upgrading to the Thermomix® TM6?
If you would like to keep our current Thermomix® as a second machine when you upgrade to the Thermomix® TM6, then you can purchase a Thermomix® TM6 with the standard offer and no trade in.
The Thermomix® TM6 offer is:
- Purchase a Thermomix® TM6 for $2579
- Receive the best bonus bundle of accessories, worth $1010.
- Your bonus includes: a second bowl set, Thermomix® Cutter and Spiraliser, Blade Cover & Peeler, Glider Board, and an extra 12 months of Cookidoo®.
Or another way to keep your current Thermomix® on your bench as a second machine and still get a trade in discount, is to trade in another appliance. I imagine many Thermomix® owners will have an old unused appliance in a back cupboard.
This is worthwhile if you have an appliance that qualifies as a major appliance. You will then receive a $380 trade in discount and the trade in bundle of accessories worth $921.

The key differences between the Thermomix® TM6 and earlier models are:
- The TM6 is a connected machine, using wifi to fully integrate Cookidoo®
- Guided Cooking really makes a big difference to your everyday cooking – making the process quicker and also you can be sure of never missing a step
- The increased highest temperature, now 160 degrees, means you can do high heat cooking and work with sugar. You can now stir fry your meat and vegetables, make incredible caramel, honeycomb, and more. See my caramelised onions here.
